All 较低的部门 students visit the library as a class for a lesson once in every five-day rotation, and students in grades 2-5 can also visit on their own to exchange books at any time. Our library media specialist teaches lessons in which many skills are combined: reading genres, 研究策略, and library information skills are interwoven with the units of study in the reader’s workshop to complement the school’s curriculum standards. Helping students learn to be passionate about reading and encouraging them to grow in their reading lives is our primary mission.
We welcome families to visit at any time, and parents can easily open an account if they wish to borrow books. Our rabbit puppet Conejo (“King of the Library”) is a popular mascot here! To find out more about the 鲁道夫图书馆, visit Conejo’s Instagram account @conejolibraryrabbit or go to the 鲁道夫图书馆 link when you log in to myBerkeley. As Conejo would say, “PAWS UP for reading!”
